Challenges For Our Nation

I salute my nation since l am a proud lndian.
An lndian fortunate to be born in the biggest democracy.
An lndian blessed to tread upon the land of the great hermits and sages.
All the above is what we have learnt since infancy.
But, don't you agree our India has still a long way to walk ,
If in terms of meeting the scales of international progress we talk?
A question constantly rages and torments us all,
When would we greet that golden appointed hour when our great nation would become a super power?
Believe me if we dive deep and down,
Trust me if we try to delve and draw a conclusion,
We would for sure comprehend that lndia our beloved nation has not one but multitudes of obstacles.
India our sweet nation has not single but multifarious challenges to brave and erase,
To be on top of the pedestal to be one among the super powers.
To count a few stumbling blocks,
The first and foremost challenge that needs immediate operation is the fact that our nation hosts the biggest army of ill-fed starving people around the globe.
The gap between 'haves and haves' not which is with every passing second increasing,
is of course  not really so very easy to bridge.
Second is 'me and my' on the social and communal grounds.
Omnipotent, Omniscient, Omnipresent Almighty must be in tears to witness the clashes in name of  the caste and religion.
Until and unless our nation is strong enough to break the religious shackles ,
There is no chance for it to be on top of the world's topmost glorious pedestal.
Third is the vested interest of those political parties which rather than working as a chain to connect the whole nation,
Work and act as a chain saw to sever all connections to feed their filthy interests and motives.
Fourth terrible block at present is the throat slaying inflation,
Where a common man is unable to buy even potatoes and onions.
Where the price of petrol and diesel is sky rocketing.
And it has become difficult for vehicles to run on the roads,
Is it possible in near future for us to book a seat among the developed mighty nations?
Fifth and one of the most frightening  block is that huge chunk of  the young incompetent men power.
Which is trapped in a virtual world,
Which is prisoner of electronic cells,
Which loves late night parties, pubs and drugs,
Which is wasting in fun and frolic its each and every precious hour.
Last but not the least spirit crushing challenge before our nation is to handle its boundaries  the land around which is occupied by the neighbouring nations ,
A few of which have always daggers drawn towards us,
Who off and on cause atmosphere of emergency in our nation by their efforts of insurgence.
But here we must conclude
That challenges in front of our nation may be countless but success without strife and struggle is meaningless and fragile.
Let our nation's reins be in the hands of wise and prejudice free by being responsible voters.
Let's be ready to extend our helping hand for the poor and down trodden.
Let's be ready to guard our borders in hour of need.
Let's be ready as citizens to shoulder the responsibility by being sensible.
Let's be simultaneously  aware of our rights and let's be keen to perform our duties then we will soon see that dawn when our nation will sure be holding the magnificent crown of being a superpower.

Papa

One more year has slipped by Of course, now there are no more audible cries. Yet, the pain of your departure is still acutely strong, Nothing can be done to rectify twenty two years old wrong, When you were quiet aware of the chiming of your death gong. And decided to suddenly without any prior intimation to be forever gone. And those final twenty four hours seemed to be so heavy and long, when from human form you were turned into ashes who was once so strong. Alas! that day,  It wasn't you who were solely  gutted in that so called holy fire, So much more was turned into coal and tar, Your younger ones' innocence and elder ones' desires were with you for a while gone. With you gone, Suddenly the warm gusts of this dreary world were chasing your progeny. But law of life is to keep going, Day or night, Dawn or dusk, Alone or with people around, With or without you, Life moved on and is still moving. But though physically missing  Yet, you haven't been completely forlorn....

Tribute to Father

TRIBUTE TO FATHER IS AN EFFORT TO GIVE WORDS TO ONE OF MY COLLEAGUES IN DAV (ONCE MY HAPPY WORKPLACE), JASWINDER SIR'S FEELINGS WHO OF COURSE, ACKNOWLEDGES A MOTHER'S CONTRIBUTION BUT WISHED A FATHER MUST ALSO GET HIS DUE IN HIS CHILDREN'S UPBRINGING. I HOPE JUSTICE HAS BEEN DONE THROUGH  THIS SMALL EFFORT.  At times ,cold as ice yet comforting and balming, hard as coconut but sweetest at core that's a father's pretenceless heart, sturdy as a mountain an unshakeable support, rough and rugged as a road that for sure leads to  the beautiful resorts, Such is the beauty of a father's love. Love that makes no audible noise, That mostly abstains from public display of affection, But round the clock makes sure that the fire beneath the hearth of his home shouldn't ever extinguish, Works like  an ox, Doesn't mind what it takes blood, sweat or tears Every price for his little ones' smiles he is willing to pay.  Often misunderstood,  often underestimated,  oft...

Mom

Motherhood is the most beautiful and satiating moment of every woman's life. The mammoth task of rearing a child becomes the sole driving force behind every woman once she attains motherhood. One of the most beautiful moments of my life was also undoubtedly when l had 21 years ago seen the face of my first born for the first time and another was when the Almighty had blessed me with my younger born 19 years back. Since then the centre of my life became the two children born to me. Day in and day out a silent prayer for their health and well-being goes on in my conscience, and that's what every mother does. My profession the sublimest one i.e teaching has mostly female staff who have a strong motherly instinct and are thus able to relish strong bond with the students. Present day teaching demands rigorous in-service trainings. The teachers like me attended various workshops from time to time in order to enhance their skills. During these workshops we got to interact with the teac...
